Privacy Notice

This Privacy Notice describes how Uri Rozen ("we", "us") collects, uses, and shares personal data when you use the Solids application and related services (the "Service"). Uri Rozen is the data controller for personal data processed in connection with the Service.
1. Data We Collect
- Account data: email address, authentication identifiers, password hash.
- Profile & app data: child name/nickname, date of birth, language and region, dietary preferences, feeding logs, allergen tracking entries, favorites.
- Support data: messages you send to support.
- Usage & device data: log data, IP address, device/browser identifiers, app interaction events.
- Cookies and similar technologies: essential cookies required for authentication and session management.
Payment card details are collected and processed directly by Paddle, not by us.
2. Purposes & Legal Bases
- Provide the Service (account creation, feeding tracking, content delivery) — performance of a contract.
- Customer support — performance of a contract / legitimate interests.
- Security, fraud prevention, and abuse monitoring — legitimate interests and legal obligation.
- Product improvement and analytics — legitimate interests.
- Service communications — performance of a contract.
- Marketing communications (if any) — consent, which you may withdraw at any time.
- Compliance with legal obligations — legal obligation.
3. How We Share Data
We share personal data with the following categories of recipients:
- Service providers / subprocessors: cloud hosting and database (Supabase), application hosting (Cloudflare), authentication and analytics tooling.
- Merchant of Record (Paddle): for sale of subscriptions, payment processing, subscription management, tax compliance, invoicing, and refunds.
- Professional advisers: legal and accounting advisers where necessary.
- Authorities: where required by law, regulation, or valid legal process.
We do not sell personal data.
4. International Transfers
Personal data may be processed outside your country of residence, including in the United States and the European Economic Area. Where transfers occur from the UK/EEA to a country without an adequacy decision, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
5. Data Retention
We keep personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes described above. Account and profile data are retained while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterwards to handle disputes, comply with legal obligations, and enforce our agreements. When data is no longer needed, we delete or anonymise it. Payment and tax records held by Paddle are retained for periods required by applicable financial and tax law.
6. Your Rights
Subject to applicable law, you have the right to:
- access the personal data we hold about you;
- request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data;
- request erasure of your personal data;
- restrict or object to certain processing;
- request portability of data you provided to us;
- withdraw consent where processing is based on consent;
- lodge a complaint with your local data protection supervisory authority.
To exercise these rights, contact us via the in-app support channel. We will respond within one month, extendable in line with applicable law.
7. Security
We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data, including encryption in transit (TLS), access controls, least-privilege database policies (row-level security), and secure credential storage. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to maintain industry-standard protections.
8. Children
The Service is intended for use by caregivers (adults). It is not directed to children. Information about a child entered by a caregiver is treated as personal data of the caregiver's household and handled under this Notice.
9. Cookies
We use essential cookies necessary for authentication and session management. We may use limited analytics cookies to understand aggregate usage. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling essential cookies will prevent the Service from functioning.
10. Changes to this Notice
We may update this Notice from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via the Service or by email where appropriate.
